Cierra is the owner of Crystal Coast Canine. What started out as a passion for dogs about a decade ago has flourished into a fulfilling career.
As a teenager she began shadowing dog trainers, worked at a doggie daycare, and volunteered with local animal rescues. A few years later she became a full time dog professional dog trainer and has been working professionally as a trainer for a little over 5 years now.
Cierra has fostered and trained hundreds of dogs over the years and has continued to expand her hands-on experience in both pet dogs as well as competitive sport dogs, displaying her versatility and passion.
Wanting to gain more knowledge and experience from more trainers, Cierra moved from North Dakota to North Carolina two years ago and has continued training professionally. Her passion for teaching owners and their beloved pets has only continued to grow. Since the move, Cierra has been actively competing in Protection Sports Association (PSA) and American Schutzhund (AS) with her personal dogs, involving herself in competition and stacking my skills against those of my peers in the industry.
Not only is Cierra very active in competition, but she is the co-founder of a PSA and AS club that hosts weekly training for members of the club as well as hosting sanctioned events for both sports right here in Richlands NC.

Unlike training and boarding facilities, Crystal Coast Canine is owned and operated from our homes. We welcome your pup into our homes and treat them like our own beloved pets to help make it a smooth transition.
While staying with us, your pet is provided with a clean, comfortable area where they will be staying in their downtime. We want to ensure that your dog is not only getting the highest quality of training, but also that they are also physically and mentally stimulated.
We offer a wide variety of enrichment activities as well as physical exercise outside of structured training sessions to help your dog be the best version of themselves. On just shy of 4 acres, there is plenty of space for your dog to stretch their legs, run around in the fenced yards, and enjoy being a dog.
Crystal Coast Canine practices relationship based balanced training methods. We pride ourselves on the fact that we not only help owners bond with their pets, but also that we spend a great amount of time bonding with your bet as well. We utilize the electronic collar in our adult programs to help build clear and fair communication between you and your furry friend.
What sets us apart from others is that our #1 goal is to help owners live harmonious lives with their dogs. In order for us to do that, we need to make sure that we are keeping owners thoroughly involved and educated throughout the entire process of the training.
This includes daily updates talking about what your dog worked on that day with pictures, videos, and detailed descriptions. Once training has been completed, your trainer will then schedule a time to go over all of the tools, commands, and explanation of training with your pup. This lesson varies from 1-4 hours based on the dog and families needs.
We love and work with all breeds, sizes, and ages. No matter the breed, No matter the need, we are here to help you. With such a wide variety of experience in dogs, we are equipped and experienced in working with hundreds of different breeds and breed combinations and are happy to accommodate your breed needs.
After training has been completed, you become a member of the Crystal Coast Canine family. This means that you are welcome to attend our free, client exclusive pack walks, and group lessons. This perk is for clients who have completed a program and count benefit from the guidance of a trainer, as well as other dog and people distractions that have gone through the same training you and your pup have. Not only are you welcome to attend CCC client exclusive events, but you are encouraged to contact your trainer if any questions arise.
Maybe you are going out of town on vacation or have a busy few days and would like to have some refresher training done. If so, we offer Stay-&-trains which are another client exclusive perk. This is a wonderful alternative to a boarding kennel or daycare. Instead of your dog going to a facility where negative behaviors are oftentimes reinforced, you have the option of your pup staying with their trainer during that time where they will have daily training, exercise, and enrichment.
